「リトル・チャロ」から英語を学んでいきたいと思います。

チャロは 二人を会わせようとしますが
そのとき とんでもないことが起こりました

but Tonko has not come home yet.
ニューヨークは もう夜更け でも トンコは帰って来ません

Charo is at the window talking to Nestor.
窓辺では チャロとネストルが話しています
What? What do you mean, Tonko has been kidnapped?
どういうこと？ トンコが誘拐されたって？
I heard the birds in Central Park talking about it.
They said Tonko was taken away
by some people dressed in black.
セントラルパークの鳥たちが騒いでいた
黒ずくめの人間たちが トンコを連れ去ったって
But who? Why?
そんな… 誰が？ 何のために？
I think it might be the impulse circus.
怪しいのは インパルスだよ
The impulse?
That’s the circus Tonko’s mother was in.
インパルス？ トンコのママがいたっていうサーカスだ！
Yes. it's a very popular circus.
But they say it has a dark side.
They say the circus kidnaps animals for the show.

でも 悪いうわさもある
ショーに使えそうな動物を さらってくるって話だ

Now that Regulus the lion is back in the show,
the Golden oldies circus is the talk of the town.
The impulse needs a new star.
レグルスが復活して オールディーズがニューヨーク中で話題だ
インパルスは 新しいスターが欲しいんだ
So they kidnapped Tonko?
それでトンコを？
There's no proof.
But if they did, she could be in danger.
証拠はない でも もしそうなら トンコが危ない

Charo goes to the impulse circus to look for Tonko.
But the circus is well guarded.
チャロはインパルスへ向かいました
しかし そこは厳重に警備されています

あっ！

勝手に入るな！ このチビ犬め
Ouch.
I will never find anything this way.
イタタタ！
これじゃ トンコがいるか分からないよ
Just then, Nestor flies up.
He has a flier in his beak.
そのとき ネストルが １枚のチラシをくわえて飛んできました
Charo, look at this.
チャロ！ これを見ろ
On the flier, there is a picture of a rabbit,
a rabbit that looks very familiar.
そこには チャロがよく知っている ウサギの写真が載っています
It's Tonko.
トンコだ！
But it doesn’t say Tonko.
It says, “The legendary rabbit, Elizabeth.”
しかし 名前が違うぞ
「伝説のウサギ エリザベス」 と書かれてる

and shows it to Tomoko.
チャロは チラシを持ち帰り トモコに見せました

But it looks just like Tonko. What's going on?

どう見てもトンコじゃない！ どういうことかしら？

We're not going to find Tonko just sitting around.
We need to go to the circus.

The next morning, Tomoko visits the impulse circus.
The circus master Rudolph, comes out to speak to Tomoko.
翌朝 トモコはインパルスを訪ねました
出てきたのは団長のルドルフです

トンコ？ トンコなんて知らんな
But what about the picture?
でも この写真は？
That’s Elizabeth, the star of our show.
これはエリザベスだ うちのスターだ

Rudlph, the master of the implse circus,
is standing inside the tent. And he is yelling.
インパルスのテントでは 団長のルドルフが大声をあげています
What are you waiting for?
Just do the triple backflip.
何をやってるんだ?! 後方３回宙返りをやるんだ！
Meep. Meep. No. never.
いやよ！ するもんですか！
I know you can. Now do it, or you will be sorry.
できることは分かってるんだ やらないと 後悔するぞ
Meep. Help. Tomoko.
助けて… トモコ…
Tonko. Where did you go?
トンコ… どこに行っちゃったの？
Tomoko remembers the first time she met Tonko.
トモコは トンコとの出会いを思い出します
Oh, hello. Where did you come from?
Come. Come here, cutie.
あら？ どこから来たの？ こっちにおいで
Meep, meep.
Don’t be afraid. It’s okay.

It's the picture Charo brought back from karen’s house.
チャロがカレンの家から持ってきた写真です
This is my mom.
これは… ママだわ！
And that’s the old lady from the park.
But why are they together?
それに… いつも公園にいるおばあちゃん！
なぜ この２人が一緒に？
Tomoko turns the picture over and finds writing on the back.
写真を裏返すと そこには…
Mari and Karen?
But Karen is my grandmother’s name.
Could that mean… that lady is my grandmother?
マリと… カレン？
カレンって おばあちゃんの名前じゃない
まさか… この人が私のおばあちゃん?!
Tomoko runs out the door and toward Central Park.
トモコは セントラルパークへと走り出しました
I can't believe my grandmother
was watching me from so nearby.
おばあちゃんが… あんな近くで見てくれていたなんて！
Tomoko comes to the bench at the park.
But today of all days, Karen is nowhere to be found.
トモコは いつものベンチにやって来ましたが
今日に限って カレンはいません
Oh, where is she? She’s always right here.
どこにいるの？ いつだって必ずいるのに…
Tomoko stands, disappointed, in the park.
トモコはうなだれて たたずんでいました
I can't believe someone so special
was so close and I never knew.
大切な人が こんな近くにいたのに 気付かなかったなんて…
Tonko. Be quiet. We're filming.
トンコ 静かに！ 撮影中よ！
Meep.
Soon I may have to go far away again.
But I will always be watching you.
まもなく 私は遠くに 行ってしまうかもしれない

トンコ… おばあちゃん…
Meanwhile, at a hospital nearby,
Karen’s surgery is about to begin.
そのころ 病院では カレンの手術が始まろうとしていました

Back at the impulse circus, Nestor has found a clue.
インパルスでは ネストルが何かを見つけました

チャロ こんなモノを見つけたぞ！
That belongs to Tonko.
I knew it. She must be inside the tent.
それはトンコのだよ！
間違いない！ トンコはこの中にいる！
