リトル・チャロ (42) Invisible Friend きずな 英語／日本語訳

今回は1月28日PM1:35～1:45と、1月29日AM6:35～6:45放送の
「リトル・チャロ」から英語を学んでいきたいと思います。

あらすじ：これまでのリトル・チャロ
東北の森で 不思議な世界に迷い込んだ 子犬のチャロ
そこでは この世を乱す妖怪 手長足長が復活しようとしていた
それを食い止めるため チャロは
伝説の八ツ星の札を集める旅に出たのだった

岩手 遠野の とある村
Legend has it one of the talismans is here.
And Charo is here to search for it.
伝説が書かれた巻物にしたがって チャロは ここで札を探し始めた
I must be close... huh? What's that?
Oh, a festival. Huh?
この辺のはずなんだけど… ん？ 何だろう？
あ お祭りだ！ ん？
Suddenly, Charo hears a child crying.
突然 子どもの泣き声が チャロの耳に届いた
My candy is gone.
私の分のお菓子がないよ
It happened again? There we're five candies here a minutes ago.
また足りなくなったの？ さっきまで確かに５つあったのに
The five of us took just one each. But we're still one short.
おいらたちは１つずつ取っただけだよ なのに１つ足りないんだ
Ahh, the Zashiki Warashi is at it again.
うーん また座敷わらしが出たか？
Zashiki Warashi? Are they real?
座敷わらし？ そんなもの本当にいるの？
Oh, yes. The other day, I counted the children.
There was one more than there should be.
But there were no children there I didn’t recognize.
Zashiki Warashi slip in and out of groups and nobody notices.
いるとも この間も子供たちを １人ずつ数えていたのに
どういうわけか 最後には１人多い けど誰が多いのか よくわからねえ
いつの間にか 紛れ込んでいるのが 座敷わらしさ
I see...
へえ
Wow. That’s really strange.
へえ 不思議なことがあるんだなあ
It's not strange. It's just me.
不思議じゃないわ 私のせいだもの
Who are you?
えっ 誰？
You can see me? My name is Mako.
People call me Zashiki Warashi.
あら？ あなた 私が見えるの？ 私はマコ
座敷わらしって私のことよ
Oh? Really?
へえ そうなんだ？
Usually, people can't see me at all.
人間は普段 私のことが見えないのよ
Hmm? Oh, I’m Charo.
ふーん あ ぼくはチャロ
Charo? That’s a cute name.
チャロ… かわいい名前ね
Sometimes I get lonely.
No one can see me, so no one will play with me.
I just want to make friends with people here.
私ね ときどき… 寂しくなるの
姿が見えないから みんなの仲間には 入れてもらえない
村の人たちと仲良くしたいだけなのに

Yeah, that’s right. There's gotta be something fun to do.

ワクワクするような… 宝探しとか
Oh, I know. Maybe these kids can help me.
あ！ もしかして… この子たち 手伝ってくれるかも！
Wow. Hey, a little dog.
わっ！ 何だ この犬！
Look, there's something around his neck.
あれ？ 首から何かぶら下げてるぞ
Yeah, you're right. What is it? A scroll?
本当だ 何だろう？ 巻物？

Beware the creatures the tricksters,
the chaos-bringers, the Tenaga-Ashinaga.

What does it mean, Matsumi?
どういうこと マツミ？
I’m not really sure.
It says bad things happen when creatuers
called the Tenaga-Ashinaga come.
うーん よくわからないけど
手長足長っていう妖怪が出てきたら よくないことが起きるって
What else?

The eight star talismans joined... a white power ... will contain evil.
It says you can stop the creatures with the talismans.
Hey, there's a map to where they are.
「八ツ星の札… そろうとき 白き力… 魔を封じん」
お札で妖怪を封じ込めることができるんだって
あっ ここに在りかが書いてある
Show me. Isn’t that mountain near here?
どれどれ？ ん？ これ 近くの山じゃないか？
Yeah, you're right.
うん そうだね！
This dog... Think he's looking for the talismans?
この犬… そのお札を探していうのかなあ？
That’s right. Help me find them.
そうだよ！ 一緒に探してよ！
This looks fun! Come on! Let’s go look for them!

It's the Tenaga.

He's attacking.
襲ってくるぞ！

それは渡さないぞ！

Kenta, now’s our chance. Let's get the talisman.

Yes, I saw it. That was the Zashiki Warashi.
And she helped us.
見たわ 座敷わらしよ 彼女が手伝ってくれたんだわ
That’s right.
そうだよ！
You think she’s always been with us?
いつも私たちと一緒にいたのかな？
That’s why we're always one candy short.
だからお菓子が足りなかったんだ！

With everyone’s help, Charo found the first talisman.
But until he finds the other seven, his journey will go on.
