こんにちは。トモキ86です。
今回は6月11日 PM1:35～1:45と、6月12日AM6:35～6:45で放送の
「リトル・チャロ」から英語を学んでいきたいと思います。
宜しくお願いします。
あらすじ：これまでのリトル・チャロ
シカゴのお屋敷にやって来たチャロ。
夜中に抜け出し、日本に帰る手がかりを探すため、
チャイナタウンへやって来たのでした。

and look for her.

尋ねなさいって言われたんです

ニューヨークにいるマルゲリータっていう友達から

チャロはルイーザを探し続けます
Then, suddenly...
すると 突然
A yellow truck!
It stops right in front of Charo.
黄色いトラックが
目の前に止まりました！
He jumps onto it.
チャロはトラックに飛び乗りました
Meanwhile, at the Spencers’....
そのころ スペンサー家では…

He hops off the truck. And...
チャロはトラックから飛び降りました。そして…

Sir Joseph leaves, and Ike appears.

who was really worried.
一番心配していたのはサー・ジョゼフだよ。
Sir Joseph?
サー・ジョゼフが？

ああ。
You see, Sir Joseph lost his father
when he was still young.
サー・ジョゼフは若いときに父を亡くし、
He was pushed up to the top,
but then came... Frank.
いきなりトップに押し上げられたんだ
だが そこへフランクがやって来た。

Frank was strong and smart.
Everybody started to compare the two.
フランクは強くて 頭もよかった
皆２匹を比べたよ。
But then one day... a small puppy like you
fell into a river, right in front of them.
そんなある日 きみくらいの子犬が
２匹の目の前で川に落ちたんだ。
Frank knew right away that the currents were quick
and that he would never make it.
フランクは流れの速さを瞬時に判断して
これは無理だと考えた。
But Sir Joseph, he just jumped in!
Without even thinking....
ところが サー・ジョゼフは すぐに飛び込んだ！
考えもせずに…
The pup was saved.
そして子犬は助かった。

Yes! And at the moment he jumped,
he said. “I will.”
そして 彼は飛び込む瞬間
“I will.” と言ったそうだ

彼は何にでも自分から飛び込んでいく。

とても深い愛情と責任感を持っている犬なんだ。
Since then, Frank calls him Sir Joseph,
to show his respect.
そのときからフランクは敬意を表して
「サー・ジョゼフ」と呼ぶようになった。

his responsibility.

Just then, Candy finds Charo.
そのとき キャンディがチャロを見つけました。

ごめんね 心配させちゃって。

carrying delicious-looking food, food, food!
そこへ給仕がやって来ました。
次から次へとごちそうが！
Wow! Stop complaining. Let's eat!
ワーオ！文句言ってないで食べましようよ！
Where's your pride? We deserve more!
おまえらプライドはないのか？こんなもんで喜んでどうする！
At that moment, a taxi pulls up.
そのときタクシーが止まりました。
A slender lady steps out,
and following her... is a big cat....
降りてきたのは細身の女性。そして大きな猫。
The doors open, and the butler comes out.
やがて扉が開き 執事が出てきました。
Welcome, Ms. Aimee Chan.
We've been waiting for you.
エイミー･チャン様。お待ち申しておりました。
Thank you for inviting us tonight.

あの この子もいいですか？

聞いたルイーザ？ 行きましょう。
Aimee picks up the golden-eyed cat.
Charo can't help staring at them.
彼女は金色の目の猫を抱き上げました。

and then disappears behind the doors.
